offers new opportunities

The goal of the recreation department is to provide quality recreation and leisure activities that incorporate individuals with disabilities into the community.

Site-based recreation activities offered at Hopewell Industries: Individuals that attend Hopewell Industries receive the opportunity to swim at Coshocton High School, participate in recreation activities at Kids America, and therapeutic horseback riding at Higher Hopes. Weekly day trips are also offered to places such as: Buckeye Hall of Fame Café, The Wilds, Velvet Ice cream Factory, bowling, Rolling Ridge Ranch, Dave & Buster’s, Magic Mountain and the Longaberger Homestead.

Community Wide Recreation activities
Community recreation activities are open to any adult 18 years and older, who lives in Coshocton County, and has a physical or developmental disability

December- Celebration of Lights, Hartwood Acres
January- Cavs game
February- Valentine’s Dance
March- Dinner/Movie
April-Nashville, TN trip
May-Prom
