Dear Parents, Guardians, Clients and Providers,

Hello, my name is Nikki Markel and I am the Director of Recreation for the Coshocton County Board of MRDD. I have many wonderful ideas about this new program and would also like to hear input from you too!

My main goal and desire is to get people with disabilities involved in the community. I see this happening in many different ways, such as attending sporting events, going to the movies, taking shopping trips, taking trips, actually the sky's the limit! I would also like to start a recreation league that would involve sports such as soccer, slow pitch softball and basketball just to name a few. A short term goal is to set up activities that have individuals interacting with peers and friends in "typical" settings. Long terms goals would be to set up overnight trips to see sights within Ohio and beyond; Disneyworld anyone!
