school age program

The Hopewell School Age Program is an educational placement for students six through twenty-one years of age who qualify for services through an Evaluation Team Report (ETR). The program provides necessary supports for students to participate in the general curriculum to the greatest extent possible. The curriculum is driven by student need as determined through assessment and the Ohio Learning Content Standards. Classes focus on academics, social skills, self care skills, life skills, and communication. The Career Transition Class room for high school aged students is located at Hopewell Industries. The Career Transition Class focuses on work skills, career development, and transitioning into community life and the work environment as well. Students who qualify may also receive speech and language therapy, physical therapy, occupational therapy, adaptive physical education, behavioral support, sensory therapy and/or aquatic therapy.
